Bhigwan is a small town close to Pune, Maharashtra. Ujani dam at Bhigwan hosts a lot of local as well as migratory birds in winter. You can take boat ride through the A boat ride through the shallow waters of the dam to see up close routine life of winter visitors. Mayureshwar wildlife sanctuary boasts of dry deciduous scrub forest with interspersed grasslands and is known for grassland birds and the birds of Prey. This forest has rich mammal population such as Hyena, Wolf, Indian fox and Chinkara.

Schedule

Day (1) Start journey from Thane at 7.00AM. On the way breakfast. Reach Bhigwan for lunch. Evening boat ride and dinner. Night walk, if possible.

Day (2) Morning boat ride, local birding for grassland birds. After lunch evening boat ride. Leave towards Mayureshwar Sanctuary. Stay at Hotel near Baramati.

Day (3) Morning visit for Chinkara and grassland birds in Mayureshwar Sanctuary. Post lunch return journey towards Thane. Reach Thane by 7.00PM tentatively.
