About Chirbatiya
Chirbatiya, a picturesque tiny hamlet in the Garhwal range of Himalayas, which is famous for the splendid Patangniya Top and Panwali Kantha trek. Chirbatiya is strategically located in the pilgrimage route of Badrinath Yatra. The village gets huge footfall during the Char Dham Yatra Season. Chirbatiya is an offbeat destination and completely unexplored till now, which offers a complete package with the prettiest forests trails, dominated by pine, oak and rhododendron trees, lush green meadows, a small lake and stupendous view of Garhwal Himalayas. It’s a perfect getaway if you want to relax in the lap of nature.
How to Reach
Chirbatiya is 200 km from Dehradun. It takes about 7 hours from Dehradun to reach Chirbatiya.
BOARDING AND LODGING:
Limited common accommodation for visitors is being organized on a paid basis in Chirbatiya FRH complex. Around 30 guests can be accommodated in the FRH. Since the accommodation is limited, be
prepared to spend good time with like minded birders in rooms and FRH lobby, which will be converted to a dormitory with basic bedding. Even though the accommodation is not luxurious and very basic, but extra care has been taken to ensure hygiene, safety and convenience of participants. If required, accommodation can also be facilitated at a few home stays in Chirbatiya.
Package Cost
The cost of the package is 2000 INR per participant and includes registration kit, accommodation in FRH, food and local transportation to bird watching trails, for the entire duration of the festival. Kindly note that it is a community led event and the amount has to be paid to the locals for their services.
