Telangana was introduced as a new state on 2nd June 2014 and is unique and formidable in its own ways. Ameenpur Lake – With the help of NGOs and cleaning of the area have helped to maintain the beauty and the credibility of this place and now it supports more than 200 species of birds, namely, Flamingos, Painted Storks, Asian Openbills, kestrels, kingfishers, bee-eaters, Hoopoes, and pelicans.
Osmansagar Lake- Also known as the Gandipet Lake, this water body has been providing fresh water to the city for many years. This place is an ideal location for sighting of flamingos. A huge population of spoonbills, darters and Painted Storks can also be commonly spotted here.
