The Garhwal region of Uttarakhand offers tremendous opportunities in the form of bird watching places: Rajaji Tiger reserve, Chopta Tungnath, Jim Corbett, Chakrata, Asan Barrage, Agora-Barsu-Dayara (in Uttarkashi), Thano-Maldevta-Lacchiwala (near Dehradun), Govind Pashu Vihar National Park, Khirsu, Benog-Suwakholi-Dhanaulti (near Mussoorie).
