Some time back a picture from one part of USA went viral amongst nature lovers, and it became an iconic heart breaking picture, symbolising our apathy towards natural world.

“A mother bird at a beach in Florida was spotted feeding her baby chick a cigarette butt. The heartbreaking scene was clicked by Largo resident Karen Mason, who shared the pictures on Facebook along with a reminder to beachgoers to clean up after themselves.The pictures were clicked last week at St. Pete’s Beach in Pinellas County, according to local reports”
When I saw this picture, it instantly reminded me of a similar instance of a Chestnut Headed Bee eater holding a half used cigarette from its butt. The picture looked as if the bird was smoking. This is a heart breaking scene from the forest of Rajaji National Park.
These two pictures depict that we, across the globe are same human beings, having no empathy for the environment.
Few people can do anything for their living, but to live, they need to keep going back to nature. Vipul is one of that lot. He is an IT professional, whose calling always remains wild. This is going to impact badly the health of birds. It would be great if people understand this and create clean ecosystem.
