IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TRAVELLERS
Weather
Weather is himalayan winter. Days are warm in the sun but as soon as the sun sets it becomes cold. Snowfall has been less this year but we expect this to turn around in February which will then be ideal time for the hike to the peripheries of the snow line for himalayan pheasants and other high altitude birds. Participants should carry winter clothing and hiking gear for the mountains.
Day pack with basic survival kit including medical emergency kit and energy bars are great for the hikes into the forest. We can provide a guide to accompany the participants.
Network
Vodaphone, Airtell and Jio are operational. Expect some areas with sketchy signals and some with strong signals. Valleys will have lower signals. Hotel has no wifi to encourage conversation and silence in the mountains.
