Species spotted580Been with Rajeev to Kotdwara and Lansdowne. Very skilled in tracking and identifying birds. He will take you to unexplored areas with plenty of bird activities. Knowledge of birdlife with respect to terrain is just too good.
It was wonderful experience with Rajeev Sir. Excellent spotting . He is all the time alert looking for birds and listening the calls from surroundings.
Taukeer
Haridwar (Uttarakhand)Uttar Pradesh, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Uttarakhand, Rajaji National Park, Kalagarh Tiger Reserve, Asan conservation Reserve, Jhil-mil Jheel conservation Reserve, Dehradun, Rishikesh, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Kotdwara
Species spotted488I had the pleasure and good fortune of birding with Taukeer at Jhilmil Jheel in Feb 2018 and again in Feb 2019. Taukeer is an impressive bird guide, very knowledgeable about the birds in the area and quick to ID species by sight or ear. It was a delight spending the day birding with this humble and skillful young birder who clearly loves birds and sharing his passion for nature with others, whether school children or clients. I will definitely contact him again to bird in other Uttarakhand locations when my travels next take me to India.
I have done numerous trips with Taukeer. I am a great fan of him. A very down to earth soft-spoken person. Extremely committed, knowledge-able and helpful. Will go out of the way to fulfill your mission.
I have been with Taukeer to Jhilmil jheel, rajajai and rishikesh. He has excellent knowledge of birds and can identify them just by their calls as well. He is very well mannered gentleman, and knows the rules of birding. Its always a pleasure to go birding with him.
Tokir Alam is a great Birder of Himalayas. He provides a great services to the guests. He is very polite and hardworking person.
One of the best guides in Himalaya
Dinesh
Ukhimath (Uttarakhand)Uttarakhand, Chopta, Pangot, Sattal
Species spotted400A Great human being with a great treasure of knowledge. Quiet but friendly by nature. 3 birding trips together and still the same experience. A hard worker with good heart. Caring and always willing to help. According to my own experiences with him, he is an excellent partner for a bird watcher. He has incredible knowledge about birds and places.
Dinesh Negi...Besides being a great Guide is also a very wonderful, polite and a kind-hearted person. It was really nice meeting you Mr. Negi. We visited Chopta for the first time in April-2019 with our group (STRABO Pixel Club) . ur whole trip was very well managed. We really enjoyed your company appreciate your skills and hard work. Our Best wishes are with you always. God Bless You 🙂
At first my relation was started with Dinesh as Birder and Bird Guide during Apr 2018. The relation converted into as Friendship and now brotherhood, as we both feels. First of all I noticed his honesty towards new client birders. He is a nice human being also. No doubt he has excellent expertise in birding field. He tried a lot to show us the uncommon even rarest species of great Himalayas. I think everyone who roamed with him agrees with it and nothing else to say.... thanks Dinesh and keep it up.
I was in the lap of nature ..Chopta in Dec 18 with Dinesh Negi ,a very energetic ,enthusiastic knowledgeable guide to be with in the woods .It was my bad luck because of the weather that my trip had to be cut short ,but am really looking forward to meet him again on another birding trip to get some more beauties of the Himalayas
I made a birding trip at Chopta, Uttarakhand, with Dinesh Singh Negi, on April 2017, a young ,energetic, bird guide and also an excellent person, got a no. of species that time, among them Koklass pheasant,Himalayan Monal, Bearded Vulture, are most mentionable, got some good pictures. Day by day he is maturing and gathering experience, so without hesitation anybody can go with him...
Pooran
Pangot (Uttarakhand)Uttarakhand, Pangot, Sattal
Species spotted400Pooran is an excellent guide for Pangot region, he went out of way to make sure he spotted the birds, and that to from far far distance. I would recommend him for Pangot birding.
In Pangot, everyone knows Puran, and thats for good reason. He is such a polite man. I have done birding in Pangot with him twice and I don't know how he finds birds in the densest forest, in grass and in far away barren land. We came back with great sighting of Cheer and Koklass on first trip along with numerous endemic birds. IN the second trip he tried his best and we spotted Cheer.
Stay like how you are Puran. Best wishes.

Species spotted800Satendra
Haridwar (Uttarakhand)Uttarakhand, Rajaji National Park, Kalagarh Tiger Reserve, Jhil-mil Jheel conservation Reserve
Species spotted200Satendra is a nice and co-operative guy.Being a guide he is humble and has knowledge about wild life. Jhilmil jhil was not a renowned place but now it's getting identification due to such guides. The flora and fauna of this forest is amazing, recently I visited with satendra. He has good knowledge about bird species. Even he can easily find the areas where the birds and other animals usually migrate.Nice to see all with him.I appreciate his work.
Satyendra is quite an expert guide. He tailored our entire tour as per our requirements and at our pace, stopping at vantage points allowing us to enjoy and photograph
He was also extremely knowledgeable and pointed out a lot of birds and animals along the way. I have seen the maximum number of fauna in this trip and will definitely be connecting with him on our next trip to jhilmil in another season.
Last but also important, his jeep was quite new and very comfortable.. Which is a major factor when you are traveling for hours around dusty and rough trails...
Satendra is an expert and the most reliable guide if you want to spot rare species of birds. Bird watching and photography needs a lot of patience and an in depth knowledge of behaviour of birds and Satendra has it.
Satendra took me and my husband around the reserve. He picked us up at the gate and helped to communicate in English and Hindi.
The tour was amazing, he and his partner can spot animals hiding around and told us details of different smells, sounds and tracks.
We decided how much time to spend and if we wanted to stop, he would stop and show us. He picked amazing spots for photos and knew so much about the wildlife.
He was highly professional, funny and knowledgeable. The tour was an unforgettable experience thanks to him.
Satendra is quite expert and well skilled bird watcher and efficient guild. It was very nice and remarkable experience of bird watching with satendra at jhilmil conservation reserve.

Anil
Ramnagar (Gaujani) (Uttarakhand)Uttarakhand, JIm Corbett National Park, Pangot, Sattal, Nainital, Munsyari, Chopta, Deoria Tal, Valley of Flowers, Rajasthan, Keoladeo National Park (Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary), Gujarat, Little Rann of Kutch
Species spotted545My wife and I spent 3 days birding with Anil at Corbett in May 2019. I must say that this was one of our best birding trips ever. Anil is an excellent birder with an eye to spot even the most well camouflaged birds in the bush. We were extremely lucky to spot an Indian Blue Robin, which happened to be a lifer for Anil as well. We spotted a whole lot of other birds too, some of which were lifers for us. We are planning to visit Corbett again in the near future, and we are certainly looking forward to birding with Anil once again.
Myself and my wife travelled with Anil in and around Corbett National Park in March 2017. Anil was a fantastic guide who combined excellent people skills with top quality ecological and ornithological knowledge. He knew all the birds in the area by sight and calls and was informative about their habits and behaviour. His understanding of wildlife calls and behaviour led to my first ever tiger encounter which was genuinely one of the best moments of my life. Anil works very hard for his clients and makes every effort to find the species they want to see, be that a tiger or a chestnut headed tescia. He is also very pleasant to travel with. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.
Anil is one such soul who breathes woods and its denizens; flora and fauna. The conservation and protection are at the core of his heart and when it comes to guiding people to understand and admire beauty scattered by the Mother Nature, he is matchless. Anil has a strong inclination for spotting winged species and studying them minutely in all respects. A pair of binoculars, smartly dressed and well-equipped Anil is ever ready to bring you closer to the world of birds. He knows where to spot which one and how to observe it from closest quarters without causing any kind of disturbance to the birds or make them feel threatened. To move closer to the Nature, Anil is a wonderful and empathetic medium.
He is a very soothing person to talk to. Sense of spirituality along with nature lover has made him a very successful guide. May God bless him more with his skills.
Anil is a wonderful person with a pleasing personality. I have known him for the last six years and he has been my guide at Jim Corbett always. Anil has in depth knowledge of birds and wildlife. He is an avid birder. I regard Anil as a friend and a wildlife enthusiast colleague.
Vijay
Lata (Nanda Devi National Park) (Uttarakhand)Uttarakhand, Nanda Devi National Park, Niti Valley, Kuari Pass Trek, The Lord Curzon Trail, Assi Ganga Valley, Dodital-Dayara Bugyal Circuit Trek, Gangotri National Park, Kuflon, Rajaji National Park, Asan Barrage, Jim Corbett National Park
Species spotted305It's hard to come across a guide who is a well qualified mountaineer as well as an avid bird watcher well versed with Flora and fauna of jungle. Vijay comes under this rare category. There was never a dull moment during our trek in Nandadevi National park, one moment he would talk about the mountains or the history behind them and would immediately switch over to identify the chirping sound of the bird and name them. I can not recollect all those names except Himalayan Monal, Golden Eagle and Snow pigeons, since my interest was mostly about mountains, but during our conversation, I realized how passionate and serious he is about bird watching.
I would highly recommend, Vijay as a bird watching guide and I 'm sure he will emulate the legendary guides of Lata village in future.
Vijay is naturalist by birth and his passion towards mountaineering and birds are adorable.....he lead our 3 members team towards Nanda Devi Interpretative Trekking during 28.9.19 to 05.10.19....Vijay is best option for bird watching guide....
I have been on two extensive treks with Vijay. We immediately became friends and I was so happy to have his perspective as we travelled through the beautiful Himalayas. This is his home and he is passionate about its beauty and preserving it for future generations. He knows the trails and the animals that live there, especially the birds. I highly recommend him as a guide. He has a big heart and an idealistic spirit. I am so happy he has turned this into a career, doing what he loves. Please support him.
one of the best guides i have ever came across and very knowledgeable about birds
I came in touch with vijay 4 years back during a bird watching camp. He is a professional and very humble in nature. A perfect bird watcher and a wonderful guide.
Love to be with him whenever I get time.

The best guide I could have found. Super punctual and friendly. I recommend him. The next time I go I don't hesitate to contact him again. thank you.
Very energetic and enthusiast.. It's a pleasure to meet him and birding with him.
It was my first time with Satish.. let us start with his punctuality- he was very punctual and as I had traveled the previous night.. I was late.
The knowledge of the birds and their habitat and when to look for them are all so very well engrained in him that we did not miss any opportunity to click a snap. And as a person he is so friendly and accommodating, I would suggest to anybody who wanted a guide in Uttarakhand!!!!!

Species spotted900I stayed from 24th March 2021 to 26th March in Birders den along with my wife and 8 year old kid. We as a family are very keen on birding and love to explore locations like this to understand and see bird behaviour. Fortunately for us we had Hari Om ji as our guide who has immense knowledge to share on the birds seen around Sattal. He is extremely patient, polite and so down to earth. He could see the spark in my daughter too and took interest in showing her birds with lot of patience. Thanks for an amazing experience. Look forward to my next journey with Hari Om ji.
Mr HariOm Singh is a great naturalist and an amazing company in birdwatching. I bumped into him while i was exploring sattal and we strolled into the forest on foot looking for birds. Being a naturalist myself, I learnt a lot from him and wish him all the best. Thank you
Hari Om is a great guy, very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. We had a great river trip at Chambal Sanctuary with him (March 14th 2020), and also a guided tour around the Lodge area. Saw some excellent birds and wildlife and also some fascinating insights into the local plants and their medicinal properties. Will have some wonderful memories, and have some great photos, Many Thanks!
We had a wonderful day with Hari Om soon after arriving in India. A guided walk around our lodge and then the wonderful river trip. He is an excellent birder and good company. We have lovely photos and great memories. Thanks
We had a lovely day based at chambal safari lodge with Hari Om.
We went on a morning Jeep safari looking for sarus cranes, we found them but saw so much more. For us the best parts we getting out of the Jeep and bird spotting on foot through the local area. The afternoon was a lovely river trip spotting gharial, crocs and of course lots more birds. A great guy to spend the day with. Thank you

All the travelers who have traveled with him, have rated him as one of the finest they have worked with anywhere in India. Not only does he satisfy the average wildlife enthusiast, but he has also consistently improved his birding skills on the field, familiarizing himself with bird calls, habitats and distribution.

Species spotted1047We went to Bharatpur for the bird sanctuary & met Lokesh ji at IbisHouse farm stay (where we'd booked a suite) & got to know about his experience & his knowledge by Mukesh ji, his elder brother. We subsequently decided to hire him as our guide & we are so glad that we did! Lokesh ji is a very humble, patient & competent guide. He's also a photographer, as we got to know when we asked him to take the photographs of the birds we saw (as we are all novices, but eager to learn). I will highly recommend anyone who is planning on watching birds in Rajasthan or Uttarakhand, to hire Lokesh ji as your guide. You won't regret, I promise.
Spectacular birding was experienced with Lokesh in Bharatpur at Keoladeo Park and environs! To be accompanied by an expert guide with a sporting scope enhanced our birding adventure tremendously. Lokesh quickly identified multiple species and ever so quickly had the spotting scope set up for ease of viewing. He also assisted with photos taken through the scope as he is an experienced photographer as well! I heartily recommend him as a birding guide who is also very pleasant in all his interactions. In total, over two days we identified 93 species with his assistance!
Additionally we stayed at his family's guest house and all our needs were wonderfully taken care of. Thanks for a most memorable trip, Lokesh!
We booked IbisHouse Farm for 5 nights.
We arrived in Bharatpur very early but it was no problem at all. Lokesh welcomed us very warmly before 9 a.m.
We got coffee and were taken to our splendid room by his brother Chendar who cooked our meals and cleaned our room. The next morning Lokesh guided us in Keoladeo park and thanks to him we could make some very nice pictures. Lokesh is a very experienced guide but even more important a very friendly person. His father- Ratan Singh- and his older brother Mukesh are also very friendly as well as the rest of his family. The location of Ibis House is superb.
This was definitely our best experience in India!
We met Lokesh during our stay at Ibis Farm house stay. We had a wonderful time and added 1 night to this stay because we loved it!
The first day we went for a walk around the area and because of Lokesh we saw a lot of little birds and were really surprised how many. Lokesh can hear and see them all! The 2nd day we went for a walk/ride in Keoladeo and also there Lokesh was a remarkable guide. Calm, joyful, and with respect.
We loved the atmosphere he and his family created.
I recommend to take this guide for all your nature walks around Bharatpur and more!
Lokesh looked after my partner and I at Keoladeo earlier this year. Not only is he an expert guide but most helpful and friendly company. I have no hesitation in recommending his services

Species spotted796It was my first Herping trip with Omkar. It was a great experience going to forest in search of amphibians and reptiles after dark. Omkar has great sight of all kind of wildlife. Way to go Omkar.
We did two nature trips in Goa with Omkar and thoroughly enjoyed. Omkar possesses excellent knowledge about nature overall....i.e. the terrain, birds, animals, butterflies and the people too. He is so well versed with bird calls that I was really amazed. All the best Omkar.
Omkar has wide ranging interests, including birds, herps, and butterflies, and is phenomenally good with identifying calls.
Always enthusiastic, he is great company, and cheerfully puts in extra effort to fulfill individual targets.
Apart from the birding and herping, I remember the interesting conversations we had with him on topics ranging from the ecology of habitats to ethics in wildlife watching.
Any trip with him is highly recommended!
Omkar is a true naturalist with a great eye for birding. He has a thorough knowledge about the life and habits of birds....He is a great host too!!!
I took Omkar's services in 2018 when I went to Goa for birding. He has great eyes to locate the birds. He is very courteous as well. He is not only a great bird naturalist but he is a very good guide in Herping.
