I stayed from 24th March 2021 to 26th March in Birders den along with my wife and 8 year old kid. We as a family are very keen on birding and love to explore locations like this to understand and see bird behaviour. Fortunately for us we had Hari Om ji as our guide who has immense knowledge to share on the birds seen around Sattal. He is extremely patient, polite and so down to earth. He could see the spark in my daughter too and took interest in showing her birds with lot of patience. Thanks for an amazing experience. Look forward to my next journey with Hari Om ji.

Mr HariOm Singh is a great naturalist and an amazing company in birdwatching. I bumped into him while i was exploring sattal and we strolled into the forest on foot looking for birds. Being a naturalist myself, I learnt a lot from him and wish him all the best. Thank you

Hari Om is a great guy, very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. We had a great river trip at Chambal Sanctuary with him (March 14th 2020), and also a guided tour around the Lodge area. Saw some excellent birds and wildlife and also some fascinating insights into the local plants and their medicinal properties. Will have some wonderful memories, and have some great photos, Many Thanks!

by Drs Lin & Steve Hand

We had a wonderful day with Hari Om soon after arriving in India. A guided walk around our lodge and then the wonderful river trip. He is an excellent birder and good company. We have lovely photos and great memories. Thanks

 by Lyn & Vic

We had a lovely day based at chambal safari lodge with Hari Om.

We went on a morning Jeep safari looking for sarus cranes, we found them but saw so much more. For us the best parts we getting out of the Jeep and bird spotting on foot through the local area. The afternoon was a lovely river trip spotting gharial, crocs and of course lots more birds. A great guy to spend the day with. Thank you

My wife and I spent 3 days birding with Anil at Corbett in May 2019. I must say that this was one of our best birding trips ever. Anil is an excellent birder with an eye to spot even the most well camouflaged birds in the bush. We were extremely lucky to spot an Indian Blue Robin, which happened to be a lifer for Anil as well. We spotted a whole lot of other birds too, some of which were lifers for us. We are planning to visit Corbett again in the near future, and we are certainly looking forward to birding with Anil once again.

 by Colin McClean

Myself and my wife travelled with Anil in and around Corbett National Park in March 2017. Anil was a fantastic guide who combined excellent people skills with top quality ecological and ornithological knowledge. He knew all the birds in the area by sight and calls and was informative about their habits and behaviour. His understanding of wildlife calls and behaviour led to my first ever tiger encounter which was genuinely one of the best moments of my life. Anil works very hard for his clients and makes every effort to find the species they want to see, be that a tiger or a chestnut headed tescia. He is also very pleasant to travel with. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

 by Vineet Mani

Anil is one such soul who breathes woods and its denizens; flora and fauna. The conservation and protection are at the core of his heart and when it comes to guiding people to understand and admire beauty scattered by the Mother Nature, he is matchless. Anil has a strong inclination for spotting winged species and studying them minutely in all respects. A pair of binoculars, smartly dressed and well-equipped Anil is ever ready to bring you closer to the world of birds. He knows where to spot which one and how to observe it from closest quarters without causing any kind of disturbance to the birds or make them feel threatened. To move closer to the Nature, Anil is a wonderful and empathetic medium.

 by Ramesh Narula

He is a very soothing person to talk to. Sense of spirituality along with nature lover has made him a very successful guide. May God bless him more with his skills.

 by Brig HMS CHATWAL

Anil is a wonderful person with a pleasing personality. I have known him for the last six years and he has been my guide at Jim Corbett always. Anil has in depth knowledge of birds and wildlife. He is an avid birder. I regard Anil as a friend and a wildlife enthusiast colleague.

We went to Bharatpur for the bird sanctuary & met Lokesh ji at IbisHouse farm stay (where we'd booked a suite) & got to know about his experience & his knowledge by Mukesh ji, his elder brother. We subsequently decided to hire him as our guide & we are so glad that we did! Lokesh ji is a very humble, patient & competent guide. He's also a photographer, as we got to know when we asked him to take the photographs of the birds we saw (as we are all novices, but eager to learn). I will highly recommend anyone who is planning on watching birds in Rajasthan or Uttarakhand, to hire Lokesh ji as your guide. You won't regret, I promise.

 by Laura Chapman

Spectacular birding was experienced with Lokesh in Bharatpur at Keoladeo Park and environs! To be accompanied by an expert guide with a sporting scope enhanced our birding adventure tremendously. Lokesh quickly identified multiple species and ever so quickly had the spotting scope set up for ease of viewing. He also assisted with photos taken through the scope as he is an experienced photographer as well! I heartily recommend him as a birding guide who is also very pleasant in all his interactions. In total, over two days we identified 93 species with his assistance!
Additionally we stayed at his family's guest house and all our needs were wonderfully taken care of. Thanks for a most memorable trip, Lokesh!

 by Pieter Levasier

We booked IbisHouse Farm for 5 nights.
We arrived in Bharatpur very early but it was no problem at all. Lokesh welcomed us very warmly before 9 a.m.
We got coffee and were taken to our splendid room by his brother Chendar who cooked our meals and cleaned our room. The next morning Lokesh guided us in Keoladeo park and thanks to him we could make some very nice pictures. Lokesh is a very experienced guide but even more important a very friendly person. His father- Ratan Singh- and his older brother Mukesh are also very friendly as well as the rest of his family. The location of Ibis House is superb.
This was definitely our best experience in India!

 by Veerle M

We met Lokesh during our stay at Ibis Farm house stay. We had a wonderful time and added 1 night to this stay because we loved it!
The first day we went for a walk around the area and because of Lokesh we saw a lot of little birds and were really surprised how many. Lokesh can hear and see them all! The 2nd day we went for a walk/ride in Keoladeo and also there Lokesh was a remarkable guide. Calm, joyful, and with respect.
We loved the atmosphere he and his family created.
I recommend to take this guide for all your nature walks around Bharatpur and more!

 by David Morton

Lokesh looked after my partner and I at Keoladeo earlier this year. Not only is he an expert guide but most helpful and friendly company. I have no hesitation in recommending his services

Desert National Park Jaisalmer was long on the bucket list and it happened now, from 9-12 Jan 20. With Rajesh Panwar and Ursha Khan to guide is to the desert rarities.. and what a trip... Got to see all the birds that one can possibly see in this season.. thanks to the hawk-eyed Ursha, who, in the last 12 years of his birding experience, could spot a Merlin or McQueen's or a courser from a mile with naked eyes while all of us would be straining through our binoculars. For the Great Indian Bustard, here would collect adequate intelligence from the local shepherds so that he could take his guests to the spot where sightings would be most likely. We got to see a flock of eight GIB! He is very humble, very honest, very sincere and very punctual. A lovable young man most suited for anyone looking out for birds in the DNP...

Amazing spotting skills and knowledge of most of the birds found near and in Desert National Park.Has good knowledge about passage migrants too.The go-to birding guide in DNP if you're interested in photography and birding for specific species.

 by Raghavendra

Birded in DNP with Musa Bhai 2017. Found to be very passionate about GIBs. He is so sensitive about their plight that I saw him actually scolding a local guy for trespassing into the habitat. We spotted 11 GIBs. His persistence got me several lifer species. His helping nature and hospitality is equally commendable. Will definitely do another trip with him soon.

 by Kiyan Mugaseth

By far the best naturalist I have ever come across and been on safari with. Very polite and extremely dedicated. I went in the wrong season for birding, but saw so many species of birds that I had never seen before. I encountered my first vulture at DNP thanks to Musa Khan. It was an amazing sighting with 12 vultures there and 4 different species, white rumped, long billed, slender billed and also red headed vultures. He helped me sight so many other birds such as the Laggar Falcon, the Tawny Eagle, the Punjab Raven, the Blue Cheeked Bee-eater etc. Even though we did not sight a Great Indian Bustard, he did his best to help us see one and despite that, Desert National Park will remain one of my favourite places on earth. It was a fantastic trip and would definetely love to go on safari with him again in DNP. I reccomend him to everyone who plans to visit DNP.

Javed was an amazing experience. We landed at Nalsarovar in Feb 20019. The place was completely deserted and dried up. We were wondering if we had reached the right address, since it was in complete contrast to what we had heard about Nalsarovar. And then late in the evening Javed appeared. When I first saw him, I thought I am being taken for a ride. He was such an unassuming character. But then he rattled off the possibility of sightings as if he had studied the bird behaviors for ages and knew exactly when, where, what could be sighted.
So next day early in the morning off we went with Javed for a day long experience. End of the trip I must say, my respect for this young lad grew immensely.
I am pretty sure, with a little bit of luck (I mean rains in the region), he would be a very busy guide/naturalist. God bless you Javed.

Two weeks in mid-February 2020 with Rofeeq as quide to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh was truly memorable and could not have been better with any other guide. Due to his fantastic skills of hearing the most minute bird calls and knowing the species responsible resulted in us finding even the rarest and most difficult to see birds. An incredible 402 bird species for 12 days in February we saw! On top of that he also knows all the mammals and most butterflies etc etc. and is a pleasure to travel and bird with. So truly recommended. Our best guide ever! Thank you so much Rofeeq!

 by Dt Barbara Finlayson

Nov 2019 I had the pleasure to spend 25 days in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh with Rofeeq as my guide for the entire trip. His commitment to finding the birds is absolute, he uses his ears, eyes, and his vast knowledge of environment to find the birds, and is extremely adept at helping his client to view and to photograph them. Being a professional photographer himself, he is excellent at positioning the client for the best shot. Since I am a beginning birder, my wish was to go "slow birding", to enjoy and observe, rather than ticking off a list and grabbing a quick shot. Rofeeq understood completely. He loves observing bird behavior himself, and together we observed patiently. When not guiding, Rofeeq is out in the field travelling and birding with friends, and ever learning. He is truly committed, and one of the all time greats!

 by Manu Gururaj

There's not enough stars to justify this rating 🙂
It's epic to go birding with Rofik. His uncanny ability to spot, hear and predict birds is extraordinary. Breathes life to the birding experience, he's more a mentor than a guide! One with nature, he's warm, funny and caring. His experience in birding is unparalleled, you can count on him to show you what India has to offer!

 by Soma Jha

It was a rich experience birding with Rofikul. He has a very good ear for bird calls and is a great spotter. You can be sure he will do his best to find a bird in your wish list. Look forward to birding with him again.

 by Professor Savithri Singh

An excellent guide, who is patient with his clients ensuring everyone in the group sees the birds. His ID is very good, recognizing calls too very easily - this makes for a very enriched birding for those with him! That he is a specialist became clear when he was able to predict that he would find the Hodgson's Frogmouth by looking at the habitat - and he did within minutes, though it was his first visit to the area! Though he carries a camera, unlike some other guides, his priority is to ensure that his clients get to photograph the birds first! For Rofikul, birding is a passion which gets transferred to everyone around him! I would love to go birding with him again and again!

Rajeev is a complete package in himself. He not only has a vast repertoire of birding experience, in addition he has many wonderful stories that keep you engaged and absorbed. Any birding destination has activities all around the year, and our visit in late Oct, was made all the more exciting in the company of Rajeev Jain.
I would highly recommend his services, for all that he brings forth as a complete package. He will guide you about the local cuisine, other things of interests in and around the region, apart from birding. He is always willing to go that extra mile, and make you comfortable. And most importantly, he is good with novices too.
Look forward to my next trip to Bharatpur with Rajeev!

I keep going to Keoladeo National Park with my wife and we first met him in 2017 and took his services regrading the bird tour and we found him a person with very good knowledge about birds and surroundings. Since then we book in advance for the birding tour. He will always try to make a bird -watchers see maximum number of birds. If you miss the bird spotting, he will never miss it. He shows you the birds with lot of enthusiasm and with his immense knowledge on birds... I Suggest one should hire him in advance for best birding experience.

I have gone to Bharatpur, quite a few times. Of course, I've had a guide everytime . In 2017, I took a three day tour. Each day I took a different guide. On the third day I met Rajiv for the first time. He was my guide. His own passion, and never ending enthusiasm took the experience to another level. Even now I'm constantly in touch with him. He identifies any unusual bird I see when I send him pics. I didn't know he is a guide for these other places as well. Must definitely check them out with him. And of course will go back to Bharatpur, booking him in advance!!!

We had two occasions where we used the birding services of Mr Rajiv Jain at Bharatpur. He is very knowledgeable and a pleasant person. Gained a lot of knowledge from his experience of birding for so many years. He made every effort to go to many far away spots to make sure that we didn’t miss anything.
Eventually we were even invited to his house where we met his family. Each member was very hospitable and we were treated to a delicious meal. Would definitely use his services even in future.

I met Rajiv in Bharatpur when the RTDC hotel team suggested me to take guidance from Rajiv. I did 2.5 days of tour and I was extremely happy with the outcome of the tour - bird sighting and good photography and I'm thankful to Rajiv for his impressive knowledge on birds, patience and polite service. I'm certainly visiting Bharatpur in the coming season and will once again take Rajiv's help to improve by bird photography skills and knowledge.

Apart from birds, Rajiv also introduced the local delicacies for which I'm thankful to him again.

See you soon, Rajiv.

It was my first Herping trip with Omkar. It was a great experience going to forest in search of amphibians and reptiles after dark. Omkar has great sight of all kind of wildlife. Way to go Omkar.

 by Milind Chitrao

We did two nature trips in Goa with Omkar and thoroughly enjoyed. Omkar possesses excellent knowledge about nature overall....i.e. the terrain, birds, animals, butterflies and the people too. He is so well versed with bird calls that I was really amazed. All the best Omkar.

 by Roozbeh Gazdar

Omkar has wide ranging interests, including birds, herps, and butterflies, and is phenomenally good with identifying calls.

Always enthusiastic, he is great company, and cheerfully puts in extra effort to fulfill individual targets.

Apart from the birding and herping, I remember the interesting conversations we had with him on topics ranging from the ecology of habitats to ethics in wildlife watching.

Any trip with him is highly recommended!

Omkar is a true naturalist with a great eye for birding. He has a thorough knowledge about the life and habits of birds....He is a great host too!!!

 by Vipul Gupta

I took Omkar's services in 2018 when I went to Goa for birding. He has great eyes to locate the birds. He is very courteous as well. He is not only a great bird naturalist but he is a very good guide in Herping.
